About the Exhibition
Mittagong-based artist and printmaker Helen Cameron brings a refreshing sense of joy, vibrant design, and playful experimentation to her canvases. Describing her own practice as a "bit of fun and enjoyment," Helen's deep affection for painting shines through in every piece she creates.
Working primarily in acrylics, Helen focuses on abstract landscapes and still lifes, though her natural curiosity means she is willing to "have a go at anything." She expertly combines shapes, patterns, and a carefully limited color palette to create quirky, stunning compositions. Driven by a desire to stretch the boundaries of convention, her invariably experimental approach leads to fresh, unexpected, and wonderfully individual results.
